A SunQuest Tanning Canopy has a few unique advantages over a tanning bed. First is the cost, they are about 1/3 the cost of home tanning bed. Next is convenience, our tanning canopies are mobile, easy to use, and they are easily stored away. They do not take up a permanent space in your home, and they don't require a special 220 volt outlet & wiring. The only disadvantage is that you only tan one side of your body at a time, but for those with the time to roll over and tan the other side, a tanning canopy is convenient, affordable, and ideal for home use.
The SunQuest canopies have a rolling floor
stand and fully adjustable canopy top so you can turn the tanning canopy to an upright
position and store it in most closets or in the corner of the room. The canopy
'floats' up and down vertically using a gas shock for support, and the canopy

Sales Tax: sales tax is ONLY charged if you reside in the same state as our company headquarters - which is Washington State. All SunQuest tanning canopy orders are shipped to you directly from the manufacturers warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Shipping & Delivery Info: Due to the size and weight of SunQuest tanning canopies, all canopies are shipped with a commercial freight trucking company. The approximate weight is 120 pounds. The SunQuest canopy is delivered in 1 box and is fully assembled. The trucking company will call the customer (you) once they get to the closest trucking terminal to set up the delivery time for the following day, or for another day if needed. Deliveries are made only on business days, Monday thru Friday. If you wish, we can arrange delivery to an address other than your home. The trucking company provides "Tailgate Delivery" only, which means they will bring the truck to your home and bring your Tanning Canopy to the edge of the truck. The box must be unloaded and moved indoors by the customer. (Note: This "tailgate delivery" is used by all SunQuest canopy stores & distributors.) There is usually only 1 driver on a delivery (and unfortunately unloading is not part of their job), so the customer should have 2 people to offload the box and bring it inside. In some cases, another person can be added to the delivery truck for offloading, but this must be arranged privately between the customer and the trucking company when they call you before delivery.
Be cautious, some websites don't even tell you their shipping fees until after you've entered your personal data & credit card info..... - its an old trick so don't be fooled by hidden shipping fees.

Order Processing & Delivery Times:
Tanning Canopy orders
are processed and shipped from the warehouse within 1-3 days on average
(weekends excluded), depending on seasonal volume. Usually it's just 2 days.
Shipping and delivery then takes 1-6 days depending on your location - how far
you are from Indianapolis. - When your ordered is placed with us your purchase
will be processed and your card charged on the day you place your order.
Shipping of your order will then occur in 1-3 business days on average.
Safe Delivery Guarantee: our company
(Saidel Incorporated & SummerTan.com) guarantees safe and undamaged delivery of
your SunQuest tanning canopy. If there is any damage done to your canopy during
shipping it will be promptly repaired or replaced. The SunQuest canopies are very well
built and are packaged very well, so it is very rare that damage would occur,
but if it does we will take care of it.
How do I use a SunQuest tanning canopy? The ideal way to use the tanning canopy is either with a lounge chair or a lounge chaise (poolside bed/chair) that will fold out flat so you can tan your front and back. The canopy can also be raised to the vertical position and you can tan standing up. The white chair shown in one of the photo's above is not included. Since the canopy is height (and angle) adjustable, you can even lay on your bed and raise the canopy above you.
Order Cancellation or Delivery Refusal: these are large items that are expensive to ship, so please be sure of your decision to purchase before placing your order. Orders that are cancelled or refused (change your mind and don't accept the delivery) are subject to a 20% restocking fee, and you must pay for the shipping fees to and from the warehouse. Once the canopy has left the warehouse (shipped out) the 20% restocking fee, plus shipping fees, will apply if you cancel the order or refuse delivery. If your order is placed with us and subsequently cancelled prior to shipping, a 5% order cancellation fee will be applied.
Electrical Requirements for the
2000s:These two SunQuest canopies plug into
a regular 110/120v outlet/receptacle. These canopies can be run off a standard
(minimum) 15 amp circuit, but because the tanning canopies use a lot of
amperage, don't run other high energy things (washer, dryer,
etc.) at the same time as the tanning canopy - if the other appliances are
running off the same circuit.

What is a "Dedicated Circuit"? - since tanning units consume a lot of amperage, and each circuit in your circuit breaker box can only provide so much amperage, the manufacturer suggest that you use the tanning canopy on a circuit that is not being used by anything else. Since most people don't have extra/unused circuits in their circuit boxes, the general rule of thumb is to check your circuit box and use a circuit that has at least 15 amps (generally 15 amp is the minimum in your circuit box), and then don't use other high energy things that are on this circuit while you are using your tanning canopy. Almost all circuits are at least 15 amps, so you can plug in your tanning canopy anywhere.
How do I know how many AMP's my outlets and circuits have? - Just check out your circuit breaker box and all the circuits will be labeled, plus there should be a corresponding schematic on the inside of the box door to tell you what circuits are powering which outlets, rooms, appliances.
Payment Options: we accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Amex) including debit cards. Due to the big price-tag of the tanning canopies and beds some customers wish to put the charge on two credit cards - We can do this, but you will need to place your order by telephone if you wish to use more than one credit card. We also accept checks and money orders. Money orders are preferred since we can process your order immediately upon receipt of your payment, while we have to wait 1 week for personal checks to clear. Financing - we often get requests for this. We investigated this option and learned that it is much easier for a customer to request a credit line increase on their credit cards than to open a new credit account. Most companies who offer financing make it appear as they are doing in-house financing, just between you and them, but in reality a third party is almost always involved and you still have to provide your social security number, employment info, etc. and you still have to have your credit history reviewed before you can be approved.
How much does it cost to run my tanning canopy? - A tanning canopy on average costs about 20-30 cents per 30 minute tanning session.
How long do I use my canopy for? You should always start slowly, especially if you haven't had much sun (or tanning bed) exposure recently. Start with a 10 minute session the first few times. Then, gradually increase the time in subsequent tanning sessions to reach the desired level of tan you wish. Those who tan regularly and want a deep, dark tan can extend their canopy tanning sessions up to 30 minutes.
How do the SunQuest canopy models compare to each other? - They are both high quality canopies, they have the same quality construction and the same high quality Wolff bulbs in all of them. The only difference is the number of bulbs in the canopy - 6 or 10 bulbs. All bulbs in all SunQuest models are 100 watt Wolff bulbs.
How long do the bulbs last? - On average, they last about 1000 hours of use, a very long time!
Protective Eyewear: You should always wear protective eyewear when tanning. Other distributors only include one pair, we give you THREE pairs. You should not share protective eyewear with others for sanitary reasons.
Is there maintenance involved with my canopy? - No, all you need to do is occasionally clean out the cooling fan that can accumulate a little dust and debris.
